OXGENE is now looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist initially on a 6-month basis to help us resource our rapidly growing business. Given the growth ambitions of the business, we envisage there will be opportunities for the successful individual to become a permanent member of the team.


This opportunity will suit someone with in-house recruitment experience, ideally with a background in scientific or technical environments, excellent stakeholder management and direct sourcing experience. We believe that success in achieving our mission will be determined by the quality of people that join our team. We are looking for a full-cycle recruitment specialist who knows how to identify and engage high-quality people across specific technical fields. Working from our Oxford, UK office, you will work with hiring managers to fill critical roles for OXGENE.


Key responsibilities:

  • Developing awareness of the business and functional areas to target and hire best talent
  • Managing the full lifecycle of recruitment processes including creating job postings, performing candidate sourcing, managing the candidate experience, and maintenance of candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Organising and scheduling interviews, phone screening potential candidates where relevant
  • Updating all activities within the ATS to ensure that progress is tracked in a single location
  • Providing coaching and guidance to hiring managers and teams to improve the recruitment processes
  • Being the point of contact for and building relationships with candidates during the selection process, maintaining a positive reputation of the company as an employer
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies on specific roles
  • Providing regular updates to the leadership team
  • Building effective relationships with hiring managers and candidates


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally experience of recruiting in life sciences or biotechnology or a demonstrable interest in this area
  • A track record of achieving ambitious hiring goals
  • Experience developing candidate pipelines through sourcing
  • Experience filling challenging roles that have small candidate pools
  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience of communicating complicated ideas in a way that is easily understood by others
  • Previous experience using BambooHR is desirable
