You will be part of a multi-disciplinary group of scientists developing tissue-specific promoters for viral gene therapy vectors. Working under the direction of the Senior Group Leader and other members of the team, you will use the pioneering technologies developed at OXGENE to deliver research on viral design and discovery. Projects will be varied, and activities will span laboratory-based work, data collection and analysis, and presentation of research findings within the company. You will be expected to keep excellent laboratory records, and to work in a safe and responsible manner following standard operating practices and all safety guidelines. The incumbent should be able to work independently following instruction and training.
This position will particularly suit an individual with a broad interest in genomics, gene expression and transcription. You will be fully supported by the team and will receive on the job training.
